Where can I get info on the significance of INR readings? For example, last week I had an INR of 11 that was interpreted to me as "rather high". Since I had blood coming from some rather unusual and disgusting places at the time of this conversation, I told him that I thought "rather high" was an interesting euphemism for "lethal".

Given that I'm still here to write this, thankfully my interpretation wasn't accurate, either. Where can I find out the clinical implications of various INR readings?

Hi Sutro-

We're very lucky to have a member who runs a Coumadin clinic. His member name is allodwick, look him up in the member section and send him an email. He'll fill you in on the various readings and what they mean.

Most valve patients need to be between 2.5 and 3.5, so 11 is very, very high.

Good luck, I hope you get more regulated soon.
