Well my echo has showed that pressure gradients on my homograft (pulmonary) have remained the same! It's been 18 months since my Ross Procedure and the gradual worsening of the pulmonary homograft (stenosis as a result from what they think is the rejection phenomenon) has not increased. The pressure gradients are still the highest that my suregon has seen in a Ross patient, but it is a relief that it hasn't worsened which they were kind of expecting. I'm relieved as heart surgery was not high on my 'to do' list for the New Year, and my surgeon's relieved that for the moment his Ross Procedure record remains untarnished. The right side of my heart has enlarged a little, but not enough to be an immendiate concern.
The icing on the cake was when he said I could surf again...I'm a happy man!
Thanks to all,
Chris
