Hello, within 3 weeks I will get a new mitral valve and they will do the MAZE-procedure as well. Are there people that can tell me their experiences with that?

We have a friend of the family that had the Maze done. She was in chronic afib and was quite ill from it. It took a couple of months for her heart to heal and eventually, her afib disappeared. She is doing well now. She also has had two valve surgeries, one repair on the mitral and then a replacement on the mitral.

You can also look up member jackdrum who had the Maze done and is doing very well. Just look him up in the member list and you could email him or private message him. I believe he has a website which focuses on the Maze.
