:) Well, here I am and its good to be on the "other side". Feeling a little tired and beat up, but for the most part better every day and walking every day.
I got home on Monday night late, a week after the big day. The surgery was moved up since they had an operating room with my name on it. They did a "little" more to me than I thought, heck.... than they thought, but everything is in good working order. It had been 19 years since my last one and so that was the reason, they replaced the Aorta since it had become fused to my sternum and they had already planned the Pulmonary and Tricuspid repairs. I just want to Thank You All for all the support and best wishes. This site has gotten me through some scarey times, and I plan to keep the conversation going....... I will keep everyone in my prayers and thoughts, and be back to post soon. I seem to want to take alot of naps.

Hi Kelly! Welcome home and you go ahead and enjoy those naps. Post when you feel up to it. If they had to do more than planned then I'm glad they went ahead and did what needed to be done while you were opened anyway. Take good care of yourself and I'll be waiting to hear more about your experiences when you feel up to it.

Hi Kelly,

Welcome to the other side! Glad everything went well and you are back at home. Sounds like you are right on track...lots of walking, napping, and breathing on the "evil" spirometer! :)

Kelly, I'm so glad that it is over for you. You made it, now it's time to sleep, rest and breathe. Take it easy and don't hurry things.

Kelly,

So VERY glad to hear everything went so well. As you know since we have so much in common with the surgery and family, I have been monitoring you close. Now I know if you did it than I can too! I have a better felling about Monday (Yikes! monday allready!)

Save a place for me at the base of the mountain on the "Other Side" I will be there soon!
