Haven't heard any more except that he collapsed at the post office in San Anselmo, CA (near SF). He was a local guy, and the Power Bar company was headquartered in Berkeley, so I'm sure we'll hear more later. An interesting guy, a real self-made man -- he developed Power Bars after he had to drop out of a marathon race at the 21 mile mark, and he and his wife started out selling them from their kitchen. They sold the company to Nestlé for 300 mill plus a few years ago).

Bonnie,

Thanks for the post.

I just started using power bars and power gels when I ran out of steam with a 10 mile run. They work very well. Just ran 19 miles yesterday. I won't run without them now.

There are competitors out there. I read the labels, cause some have Vitamin K.
