Atrial Fibrillation, Coumadin, and Animal Valve

My mother (66 years old) takes Coumadin now for Atrial Fibrillation. Because of that, she'll have to take it after valve surgery. Do we have any coumadin takers with animal valve replacements?

I had aortic valve replacement (bovine perechardial) on 9/5/01 and currently (temporarily) am taking Coumadin. My understanding is that my docs do this "routinely" after "any" valve replacement. (Of course, mechanical valves users remain on Coumadin).
