The first picture up on the reunion thread is me.
I guess I was in the right spot when Hank snapped
the shot of me in my VR.COM hat.
A newbie to the group...only managed to make it
for the Thursday night reunion opener at Gino's.
Wish I could have made it to the other activities.
Terrific people-Terrific time-Terrific pizza.
Did anyone make it to the top of the ferris wheel
at Navy Pier?
Cubs have just taken a 5 to 3 lead in game 7.
My heart valve is working overtime.

Sorry guys, Hank asked me to do the captions 2 days ago and I forgot about it till I read this post. Took kids to the zoo today and tonight I am taking the older girls and friends to the mall to try on clothes for the fun of it. so maybe tomorrow I can at least get started on it!

Much to early to commit to Denver in '04. Perhaps my
wife and I could combine a vacation trip with the reunion.
Last year we went to Hawaii. We'll have to wait and see.
On the subject of the reunion. Let me run an idea by you
and the committe putting everything together.
From my many years of attending industry trade shows,
association conventions, society seminars and the like.
There is one commonality.
Almost all are held around a central theme or slogan
which reflects a goal or purpose to which the attendee's
can identify. This adds to the congeniality and fellowship
of the gathering.
Believe VR.COM 2004 reunion would ring out even better if
it had the theme of ............"KEEPING THE BEAT" or
........."HEARTS OVER DENVER."
I'm sure, others have even better suggestions.
What do you think?

Joe,
The theme/slogan idea is a FANTASTIC one! We could even take suggestions from the vr.com members...... then vote on it! I’m so excited about planning the reunion in CO this year!
Do you think it would be okay to let Janie vote twice? Cause we’ll be decorating her room in the chosen theme!! :p :D :D
I’ve already got a file going with suggestions from people to make the reunion as great as it can be... I’m adding yours to it!!
Thanks!

Rain:
As long as her ballot doesn't have any hanging chads,
foresee no problem.
In a bygone era voting twice in Chicago elections
was common place.

Hey Joe,
You must have heard of the infamous 'Box 13' in Duval County, TX which showed up at the last minute and got LBJ elected
...hmmmm?
Most of the people voting were residents of the local graveyard, but hey -- it was and still is South Texas where anything politically 'fishy' can happen!
Hey and Joe -- that was Florida with the hanging chads...not us 'innocents' in Texas..:D
Oh my gosh! Miss Hi-Rain is in charge of decorating the 'Hospitality Suite....' Can't wait to see it. Loved the suggestions so far. This is gonna be a 'hard one.'

"Gina tried to get me on the Ferris Wheel.... I was chicken!"
What Rain failed to mention was the 100 MPH power boat ride we took shortly thereafter, ROFLMAO!!!!! :D
PS. Love Joe's idea for the reunion slogan!
