INR home test units/supplies

Anyone out there on Blue Cross receiving reimbursement for supplies and or units?

We are moving over to Blue Cross PPO ASAP. Praying we finally have stumbled across a carrier that will reimburse for strips!

I have Blue Cross PPO. You first of all must have a rider on your policy that pays for durable medical equipment. The next thing will be getting approval for reimbursemsnt from an approved supplier in your PPO group. The people at the company where you got your machine can help with this process.

Hi Gina,

LC is correct. I am also on a BC PPO, and durable medical equipment, and Test Supplies are covered under the policy I am on.

Do you have the policy info that you can check?

Thank you both. Don't have the policy handy. My former insurance covererd durable meidical equipment..... but not the associated supplies. Funny huh? Going to look into my BC of IL and see what I can get!
