Site Down Time

Hank why has the site been down so much recently? Provider problems or server problems?

I too have had some problems accessing the site on occasion. But it has been going on for a while. Most of the time I think it's related to my local dial-up provider or excess "noise" on the connection, because when I exit and reenter AOL, it corrects the problem more times than not. Many of the other problems have been resolved by eliminating "double cookies" which I haven't purged.

Then there have been other times when I've entered the site through the "back door" by going to one of the other sites that have a valvereplacement link and clicking on it. That problem might be related to Hank's server.

The Internet itself has had some major gremlin problems recently.

I tried the back door and all usual ways of entering. It's as if the Domain Name is not being resolved or that the server is plain not there. I've had others email me asking if I could get the site because they couldn't, so I know it's more then just a connection problem. It's not an all the time occurence, just enough to make you wonder what's up.

Maybe Hank got really lucky and is putting up a new server with 3 Cheetah hard drives, tons of memory, RAID, and ......... :D

Hello folks. I haven't been on the site in a few days so I didn't even notice that it was down at all. I did check with my hosting company and they have told me that there were a few problems that have been resolved.

I would definately like anyone and everyone to email me at hanky@pobox.com if they notice that the site goes down. I will kick their butts if they don't provide 99.9% uptime like they promise.

Anyway - school and massive overtime are keeping me oh so very busy.
