Hello Friends,
I met with Dr. John D. Oswalt "Chip" today, Chief/Director of Cardiothoracic surgery at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas today for a consult regarding my bicuspid aortic valve stenosis. He reviewed all of my tests on DVD with my husband and myself, gave all of his opinions and perceptions, explained everything in down-to-earth terms, and met with us for one hour and 30 minutes, answering all of our questions and all of our fears. He was quite impressive and his record and reputation with this particular procedure is
one of the best in the country. He stated I am a "really, really, really excellent candidate for this procedure because my heart is in such good shape in spite of my valve. We were very pleased. I feel that I finally
know the route to take in my personal circumstance. I have gained so much
information from all of you. I just wanted to share-I feel very good about this
for me. Thanks for all of your help and encouragement.

Congratulations Terry

I'm sure the nervousness is setting in about now. Take yourself out and indulge, have fun, do things that you have always wanted to do, but haven't and try to relax until surgery day. :)

Thank you for the good wishes and I send them back to you, as well, all of
the way to Iran! I am still working, but am considering putting in some half days to enjoy my two weeks of waiting! After reading some of the wonderful
suggestions from others on this site, that sounds like a great plan to me!

Congrats, Terry. Now you really have something to celebrate for Independence Day. You make sure you have a bang-up celebration and eat & drink and watch great fireworks. You won't want to do much celebration for a few weeks after surgery.
