No time for Indy -- but I'll be tuning into the Coca-Cola 600 this eve! Have to root for our local Richmond and new star -- Denny Hamlin

One of the most exciting finishes I have seen at Indy. I thought it was going to be a photo finish. The difference between first and second place = .06 seconds (and a million virtual miles).
Any other fans out there?

Hmmm...sorta. I was out driving my older MCs today, so I only caught the very end of the race...and what an exciting finish! Sorry that Danica didn't win tho....he he he.
Some of the players on Dad's softball team go to the Indy 500 every year. Our game this past Friday was an 8:50pm start ... according to one of the guys that go with the group, they were supposed to have left for Indy about 7am Saturday morning ... not sure if they made it by then ... I'm sure we'll hear about it at Friday night's game :).
I have the NASCAR race on right now ... not as interested in NASCAR as I used to be. I might be more interested in it if they were actually racing cars that you can buy at the dealership. Of the pack, Dodge is the closest ... the Charger is available to the buying public with RWD and V8 ... but not in coupe form. Chevrolet is force-feeding people with what they claim is a "monte carlo", but true enthusiasts aren't that gullible. Yeah, it has a V8 again, but it still is FWD..... As for Ford, well, they're the least closest ... Fusion is FWD to the public ... and doesn't offer a coupe.

I attended the race several times in the eighties. What fond memories...
Today's finish was quite something though, wasn't it? Wish I were there.
