Hi all, well its done & everything went well. The day of the op was the longest day in my life. Six hours later they took me to see him that was not good. On Friday morning they woke him up & he was back on the ward by Friday afternoon.On the Sunday they took out the chest drain & catheter & told him to start walking about. The docs were pleased with his progress & discharged him on the Friday. He's to go to the local hospital tomorrow for tests & then back to Athens on the 19th. He looks really well. The only problem I'll have is that he'll try to do too much. Anyway I'm just so pleased he's ok.jan

OH, Jan, I am so relieved that things went so well. Although I knew they would, it's just always good to read it in print. :D Yep, hubby is raring to go, and you just feel like you aged twenty years.............sigh!

I have been wondering about you during this week and hoping that everything went OK. So glad to hear that your husband's operation went well and that he is home and starting to feel much better. Let us know how his progress goes and feel free to ask any questions you may have. I'm sure someone will be able to answer them. :)

Wonderful news that we are so happy to hear. Do your best to keep him from overdoing it but, after that, you just have to sit by and give him massages when he does.;) ;) ;)

How great is it that he gets to recover in an area that some people here spend their whole lives saving up to visit?
