I was given some information of another subsitute for salt, Poppadash. It is hard to find but is good for seasoning. Just thought I would share you with all. Take care and keep up the good work and keep healthy.

Hi Caroline,

I've found one seasoning for baked fish that is quite good. It is salt free...is a blend of Dill, Lemon, and other seasonings. It seems to add just enough exra flavor...excellent on salmon.

Glad you are still doing fine. And thanks for the information. It is a blessing that we can count on each to come up with some suggestions. It is hard for some to change the sodium habit. Thanks again and will keep it on mind. I have to cut down the sodium like everyone else. Keep up getting better Zipper.

Hi guys-
is Poppadash like Mrs. Dash? we have Mrs. Dash and "she" makes a great lemon pepper seasoning that is good on fish maybe it's the same.

I got a great recipe for sea bass

You rinse the filets/steaks pat dry with paper towel. put a on some lemon pepper seasoning. then a small amount of light mayo and then top with parmesan cheese. Broil for about 8-12 minutes. Yum-o!

Sylvia-
That fish recipe is easy. In fact the same recipe works well with any firm fish like sea bass.

I am working on a snapper recipe. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I guess it is new on the market, but I have a friend at work who uses is all the time to cut down the sodium usage. Give a look up at the store and try it. I will soon and let you all know how it goes.

Hi!

You all probaly know this...but for some reason, I wasn't aware.

In the 'lowering cholesterol' attempt, I began eating waaaay more soy products...INR dropped...they are HIGH in Vit K...I was eating the 'burgers'..soy nuts..soy cheese..ugh...

So..there ya go...everything in moderation...and consistancy!.I thought I knew ALL this..LOL!

Happy eating..Zip/Joan

UNBELIEVABLE! joey loved it!!! (he is very picky about his seafood).
thanks a million and hope you are well (and your husband too).
all the best, sylvia

I just wanted to share something I discovered to those who may not know this. I was just looking and came accross onion powder. Just like garlic powder, onion powder is sodium free. Just try is, in cooking it tastes good. I used it in my boiled chicken and noodles, tasted good.
