Some of you may rememeber my friend's little girl, Bethany. She was just 4 years old and lost her brave fight against CHD one year ago tomorrow morning.
I'm posting this to remember a beautiful little girl. She was Dan and Jo's little gorgeous, she touched so many people's lives all over the world, was the reason for CHD-UK starting, which was a group a lot of us recieved support from and she not least, touched my life in a very special way and I can honestly say, as I've said to Dan, that not a single day goes by in which I don't think about her in some way.
Remembering you always sweetheart, sleep tight
With so much love

Our hearts go out to you and Bethany's family. Her legacy will always be the support others have received and will continue to receive from CHD-UK.

It's so hard to believe it has been a year. The sadness seems so recent. My prayers and hugs go out to her family and all who knew her and were touched by her.
Here's to Bethany and those like her who contibute to the future day when all will survive such issues.

I did and I love Jo's tattoo, it's so Bethy. But Dan's looked very painful.
I still can't believe it... A year. Our Little Moo. They are always close to my heart and in my prayers.

yes it made ME hurt, it looked painful. One think Dan and Jo have to take comfort in knowing what a loved little girl Bethy is and how she will never be forgotten, Lyn

What a beautiful way to remember a child who has passed, the year anniversary being called her "first Angel Day" It is terribly sad that it had to happen, but a very special way to remember her on her "Angel Day". My heart goes out to her parents and family.

I just sent Dan a post a while ago sending my tears, prayers, and hugs. I had Bethy's anniversary written on my calendar............been depressed all day just thinking about it. YOu know I always thought of Bethany as Katie's "twin." Dan was the first one I latched onto tightly because Katie and Bethy's anatomies were so much alike, except for the asplenia/polysplenia difference.......I still feel so guilty because I was so jealous that Bethy's common AV valve regurgitation actually improved whereas Katie's, obviously, got worse.................this one really hurts ..........all over again. Hugs through my tears. Love, Janet

Thankyou for all your messages. This is the link to Dan's 'blog' where he has posted photos of her and written the most amazingly touching tribute to Bethy if you'd like to read it...

You should have included a box of tissue with that link. I hope they feel comforted in knowing that there are many people who never knew them, or their precious Bethy, are praying for them.

Emma:
I concur with Karlynn's observation -- where's the box of tissue? I was extremely touched.
Please pass on to Bethany's family that I am praying for them.

Emma,
That was very difficult to read, but I'm glad Dan is able to express his thoughts and feelings so eloquently. My prayers are with all who loved
Bethany, and I hope each passing day brings more comfort and less heartache.
