If this could be applied to valves, making them clot free. Interesting, there are some hurdles to overcome, but still interesting.

Here we go again! "Special coating of antibodies" applied to stent to promote healing, etc. It sounds oh so familiar and cost effective too.

Both physician and patient appeared on morning TV touting the merits of this new coating. I truly hope it's everything they claim it to be and cost effective, too.

Best wishes to them both and future implantees.

As I sat there watching their elation I couldn't help but be reminded of another "special coating" applied to cardiac implants. Most of us know all about that one. Silzone.

Until this specially coated stent has been in the market for a few years, I would run a mile if someone offered it to me. That's just my opinion and others may differ.
