One Year today Jan 5

One year today at this exact time my wife was having AVR surgery with a mechanical valve. Doesn't seem possible!! She is doing great!! Back to a full active lifestyle which includes working full time as a teacher and taking care of an almost 2 year old daughter. She now does home monitoring of her INR and has been well regulated almost from the start.
I am very thankful to this website for both educating me about this procedure and as well as making me feel that we were not alone. This website has given me sanity and has been an oulet for me to vent my fears.
Thanks to all the regulars, even though i dont often post,, i come back hear regularly to read new entries.
