Hip Replacement

Please discuss if you have had a hip replacement post AVR (etc) while on coumadin. Have a family Hx of Hip replacement and have had significant and increasing pain over past 2 years.

I don't have personal experience. But I do know that they put joint replacement patients on ACT, usually Coumadin, right after surgery. This leads me to believe that they don't fear much bleeding from the site and feel the anticoagulation is more important.
