View Full Version : Recommendations for surgeons

I had my mitral valve replaced in May. It was supposed to be a repair, but my surgeon said it was not repairable. Well, now it is leaking worse than before and I have developed pulmonary hypertension. I do not want to use the same surgeon I used previously and am looking for another one. Does anyone have a recommendation for a surgeon in Houston at the Texas Heart Hospital? I have also had Dr. Zorilla, here in San Antonio, recommendation. I'm really scared so I want the best.
Thanks and Happy New Year.

Barbara,

I am so sorry to hear of your problems. It is very disappointing to find out you need surgery so soon after your first. I truly understand your frustration, anger, pain, sadness, etc., etc., etc.

Do you have a tissue or mechanical now? Just curious if your cardio can help you to understand what went wrong.

I can't help you with the surgical recommendations but I will offer any support you might need from someone who has been through 3 surgeries.

Please take care and I wish you all the best.
