Today I tested my INR, it was so high that the protime machine wouldn't give me a number. So I went to the hosp. to get the lab. to test it. I haven't heard from the Dr. yet.
Not much of any change other than the stress from the funeral.

Sorry, I didn't get back sooner but I have been sick. Nothing to do with the INR. The protime machine just had a error in reading. Last week I took mine to have them run at the same time and they were .5. I thought that was pretty great.
Is it me are I just can't seem to get in the spirt of the season. I guess having a death around Thanksgiving put a downer on it. I went out today and couln't stand the all the people and came with one gift.I hope it gets better. I wish everone a safe and happy hoiday.

My Mom died suddenly right before Thanksgiving in '98. I remember feeling the same way you did. Shopping and all the people out buying things, that don't really mean anything in the grand scheme of life, really annoyed me. But what it did give me was the heightened sense of spending that holiday time with those you love. Christmas ended up being enjoyable, because we all were so grateful to have each other during such a tough time.

Thanks for your support. My youngest will be home next sat. and will go down to Elizabethtown to have party with the rest of my family. May be that will cheer me up.
I was watching a sad xmas special on T.V. to night where this little boy was dying from heart failure. He ask the Dr. why was taking him, he told him he wasn't taking him god was recieving him. I never thought of it that way.

I'm glad your INr is fine. My sister died Dec. 18th several years ago, but we felt the same way, of course. It's hard to be around so many festive people when you are feeling so much pain. Thanks for telling me about the the little boy in the heart special. I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Hugs. J.
