Stroke during surgery

Happy Thanksgiving!! I have been wondering. I had a stroke during my open heart surgery. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced a stroke during their surgery. It took me awhile to heal from both am still not completely healed from stroke. Cecily

I had a mini stroke as a result of my first surgery. Thankfully, it left no lasting effects. I was lucky.

I think it happens more often than we would like to admit. I had "an event" that I'm still working on adapting around. It is better than it was and I'm seeing the neurologist next week to see what I can do to get the rest of the way back.
