Hi Everyone!
I just had my CT scan today to check my kidneys and bladder. A couple weeks ago I had had blood in my urine. That was the reason for the scan. I am also having a cystoscopy done next Wednesday.
Please say a prayer for me that everything will be ok. I just get so anxious when it comes to waiting for results.
My family has had a tough few weeks. My 3 year old has been sick so much and this last time she started running fevers ranging from 101 to 106. I ended up taking her to the ER. I was so scared for her. I can't stand seeing little ones so miserable. She is still sick but seems to be getting better. She still spikes a temp as the evening comes but I'm hoping we are coming to the end of this virus. Every test they did indicated a viral infection. The day after taking Faith (3 year old) to the ER my oldest daughter (Kristen) became sick and she has strep throat. I came back from my CT scan to find out that she threw up this morning. Poor thing. We were supposed to travel for Thanksgiving but under the circumstances we are staying home.
I'm not sure if I'm coming down with something or not. I started to get a little bit of diarrhea. When I had to drink 900 ml of water for my CT scan most of the water came out as diarrhea. Sorry if I am grossing anyone out. I just have to keep a close eye on myself to make sure I don't get a sore throat or fever or off to another doctor appt I will go.
My family has had a rough couple of weeks. Please just keep us all in your prayers.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

God Bless & Take Care!

Gail,
We'll anxiously await your CT results as well. Although I'm sure you'll be fine.:)

So sorry you've had such a tough time these past few weeks. Your poor darlings. It's always so sad to see little sick ones and it's so worrisome when it's more than just the normal fever.

I hope you all are on your way to a healthy, happy Thanksgiving.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry to hear that your whole family is sick with flu-type illnesses. There is nothing worse and you are right - to see your child sick and you feel helpless to do anything is not pleasant to go through. We don't have children, but I have taken care of sick nieces and nephews before and you feel so bad for them.

Your CT scan findings are going to come back positively NORMAL! Believe that.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving despite....

hi gail,
i'm sorry your kids aren't feeling well. there's so much going around. in fact, we were supposed to go to my sister-in-law's for turkey dinner, but our eldest has been vomiting all day, so i'm sending joey with our youngest and i'm staying home with the big girl.... and we were so looking forward to all being together (this is our first thanksgiving with both girls away at college).
oh well....
our youngest daughter used to run really high fevers and the pediatrician would get so worried, he'd make me give her phenobarbital (anti-seizure med) if her temp went over 102!!! it can be so frightening.

meanwhile, i hope you have good news to give us after your test results come in.
just know that you are in our prayers.
all the best,
sylvia

Sorry to say this time of the year is so stressful anyway. I'm so sorry to hear about your little ones being sick. I sure hope you don't get it. Let's pray that your CT scan comes back okay. I had that scare a couple of weeks ago. Hugs & prayers are coming your way.
