Its Curtis's check up on friday morning, we will be out all tomorrow, so i wont be back on till friday evening. After 8 months of waiting, i'm kind of glad to be going but also scared, we should find out some more information or at least when he will be going for the cardiac cath. I may just be on early hours tomorrow because i dout i will be getting much sleep, please wish us luck and thankyou every one for all the support you have given me over the months Paula x

Thanks everyone, GOOD NEWS seen a different consultant today, she doesn't think that the situation is as bad as the last consultant said, so basically 8 months of worry for nothing. He will be going for a cardiac cath and a ETO(camera i think) at the end of january and we will find out from there.BAD NEWS no TaeKwonDo she said he can do as much exercise as he likes but tensing the muscles up and not moving them (stance) or press ups is no good for the heart. So still waiting but at least we can have a good christmas, thanks again for all the replys Paula :)

Glad you had a good appoinment Paula! At least the cath and transoesophogeal echo (TOE) will give a better picture of how badly the valve is leaking and you'll get some firm answers then.
Good that get you to enjoy christmas without it all hanging over you now!
Love

At least you got half good half not so good, thats not so bad...LIL kurt will have to find something-else...My boys are doing Archery of all things and really enjoy it...has the advantage of being a relatively easy Macho sport !
I found sports where they compete with their mind and arms and doesnt wear them out physically to be easier on my nerves :D ...and my 3 are all computer-mad as many teen-boys are. .

Not sure if Archery would be any good for Curtis, he is allowed to do as much exersise as he likes but told that tensing the mussles and not moving puts too much pressure on the heart, like press ups, weight lifting ect, thats why he can't do Tae Kwon Do, i should imagine that drawing back a bow and holding it still is classed as the same thing, she said he could swim and play football, i'll come up with something, he thinks he might want to try modeling at the moment, not that hes vain:D or i may get him back into acting school. Thanks

Paula,
If he encounters a swim teacher who wants him to hold his breath for more than a few strokes, tell them to knock it off.
