So sorry, we were away for the weekend and I missed the initial celebrations but a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR KATIELION!!

I hate to appear so ungrateful for all of these good wishes (I have printed them out for the lioness to see!), but we have been soooooooooooo busy, what with the party and all.

Katie had her first real (with friends! no less) birthday party and Chuck E. Cheese's. The rat came through unscathed (only because I couldn't find out when rodent hunting season is)............wish I could say the same for me..........sigh! Chuck E's really needs to sell beer for the parents.........heehee! Nothing like a room full of pumped-up, yelling kids to jolt the nerves! Katie made out like a bandit and then got up and danced with Chuck.......well, stayed quite a few feet away from him, but danced nonetheless. Too cute! Will try and post a picture in a day or twenty...............

which leads us to the "and all" part. We are finally attempting to give Katie her princess room (she picked out Tinkerbell, but only because all of the room accessories were purple). Don had promised her it would be done right after we got home from surgery, so here we are, finally attempting it three months later.............sigh! The house is a wreck. Had to disconnect the computer for a few days as it was/is in Katie's room...........hey! I had to give up my office when she came along.............anyway, I have been having DTs from computer withdrawal, so Don hooked me back up.........at least temporarily. We have moved almost everything out of her room and it is strewn all over the hall and living room..............sigh! NOthing like your own in-home obstacle course! We still need to paint the room purple..........and then finish decorating..................
