Well, turns out my swollen feet, ankles, legs and midsection was due to way too much fluid buildup around my heart. I went to the hospital thursday morning to get it drained. They drained about 500cc's initially and about another 100 or so throughout the next day. I came home saturday night and I feel great. They are going to keep an eye on it to see if it doesn't build up again, if it does that means surgery to fix it. Just thought I'd share my experience with everyone in case someone else goes through this too.

Glad you had the fluid drained off; Looks like you recognized the problem before either the nurse or cardiologist did. :)

Paul,
Good to see that it appears they are now on top of your fluid problem. Hope everything gets back on track for your recovery. Sometime we have to be our own strong advocate. Good you got their attention.
May God Bless,
Danny

Paul, this is, unfortunately, not too uncommon in the pediatric world. I know of two kiddoes who have had to go back in the last month for the very same procedure. Dunno about the adult one, though. So glad that they found the problem and fixed it. I'll keep you in my prayers that this was the end of it. Did they up your diuretics, I hope?
If not, ask why not. Many hugs. J.

They gave me diuretics thursday night and boy did that empty me out. I wasn't taking any diuretics before that because I had pretty low blood pressure.
