Ever since my surgery 9 weeks ago I have experienced numbness, soreness, and shooting pains in my thighs. I have found some information that indicates that it is caused by aggravation of a nerve that goes from the pelvis down in to the leg. My condition seems to be worse the day after cardiac rehab so it seems that exercise may make the condition worse. Has anyone experienced this after surgery? If so, how did you remedy the problem? I hate to put rehab off but have got to get this thigh business taken care of.

Hello, Im sorry you are having any pain. You might want to mention this to your dr, I see you are on lipitor, and sometimes it will cause pain.
Just a thought you might wish to check. Hope you feel better soon, love the pup

Joe had something like that after one of his surgeries. He called the surgeon who ordered an ultrasound study in the vascular lab to make sure there weren't any clots that had formed. There weren't. But it would be a good idea to call the doctor or surgeon and ask about it. I wouldn't let this one go. Call and get someone to look at it.

I had trouble in my hip after surgery , nobody could find any reason for my inability to walk. It was pain, not numbness. I have heard that for some surgeries, they put a roll of some sort under the body and I think that's what happened. Been 3 yrs nearly Sounds like a nerve to me, that you have.

Also I took Lipitor for some years, decided to quit, on my own. Cardio says I am one of those who can't take it. He gave me Zetia and it is working, just not as well as Lipitor. Lipitor, tho, caused the most awful muscle pains - unbearable; nearly crippled me for good.
