Hello everyone, This message is from the wife, Linda, and Joe's doing great, pain is finally under control and he actually just was able to talk to me on the phone. The surgeon was able to repair the valve and said it was good that he didn't put it off any longer as the heart definitely had enlarged. He did look like a train wreck yesterday as he predicted. He's anxious to get home and back on a bicycle---not too soon I hope---to see if he's really new and improved as far as the cycling goes. Thank you all so much for all the info, advice, support and friendship you've given him. I'm out the door shortly and down the mountain to be with him today. He'll be on here I'm sure as soon as he's home.

Glad to know that Joe is doing so well. :)
By the way, what time is your surgery? I actually thought you were having it done yesterday, so I was suprised to see your post!
Good luck again!

Thanks for posting Linda and please give Joe our best wishes for a speedy and uneventful recovery. So glad he could get a repair. Now tell him not to rush his recovery. He will be back on the bike before he knows it.

Good for Joe! It'll be a while before he's back on the bike, but the roads will be there waiting! Good luck and make sure you write us if you need significant other advice.

Thank you, Linda, for letting us know. We are concerned until we get news about our fellow member. I am glad Joe made it, albeit got hit by the train (he get the engineer's name? ;) ) Hope you, too, are holding up well.
Hey, Joe - sorry you found the train/truck (well, maybe t'other way round) but it sounds like you are right on schedule. Keep on truckin - or trainin. See you soon. God bless.

Linda & Joe,
Happy to hear that the surgery part of your adventure is over... now begins the real fun! Hope Joe's recovery goes smoothly & that he's back on his bike soon... but not too soon!
Linda, get some rest yourself - Joe needs for you to be in tip top shape for his coming home.

Thanks for the update. Happy to hear all is well. Now it's time for you to get some rest as well. I am sure you have lost some sleep the past few days.
Take care and you are still in my prayers.
