This is from Eric's Mom:

Eric had his surgery this morning and it went well. Actually, Dr. Raissi described it as pretty. ( Don't even ask my reaction to the use of that adjective in that context! ) The very good news was that he did not need a valve. His own was in good enough condition to retain. His color is good and he was responsive to us shortly afterwards. The expectation is that he should be released on Friday. He will be staying with me for a time so if anyone wants to communicate with him soon, use my email address: Ask Ross
FYI : He worked up until late Sunday afternoon! I am exercising enormous restraint by not shouting with joy from the rooftops about the character and courage of my most special son. But I don't have to use that restraint in expressing my gratitude to all of you who have given him so much support and caring when he needed it. In this instance, "WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND" is my wish for you all who have given so much. May you reap the Blessings you have sown.

What wonderful news! I'm sure you're quite relieved that it's over and I'm sure Eric is thrilled that he got to keep his valve. I pray that his recovery will be as "pretty" as his surgery. Thanks for letting us know.

Tani, thank you so much for sharing this good news with us. I hope all continues to go well. I wish I had gotten into that "pretty line" but I didn't see it. I came out looking about the same. ;)

That's great news. Tell him to take it easy for a while, don't overdo or he'll pay for it the next day. Thank you for keeping us informed.

No doubt Eric will be looking forward to resuming his active lifestyle - after the appropriate timeframe of course!
