Thanks ladies,
Emma - we went to Ireland (Co. Meath) - did the usual sightseeing, eating out, some attempted ancestor-tracing (Jim's great-great grandfather was born in the county, but that's the only one we could find - will have to look further afield for any others I think). And of course we had a pint of Guinness at the Guinness Storehouse museum in Dublin!

And, I realised it's the longest holiday Jim and I have had completely on our own ever%! All the other ones there's been friends or family around at least part of the time. So we know now we can go a week without killing each other ;) . Apart from over navigating the roads using a useless map, but that's another story...

Now I'm hoping we'll both get bigger paypackets/better jobs and be able to afford a house SOON!!! Even a day back in the "real world" makes me want to get my own place ASAP (well, been feeling like that for a long while now but I think Jim's starting to feel it too - he never went away to uni so didn't really "get" the whole living alone thing).

Have just ploughed my way through 7 pages of new posts  . That'll teach me for leaving you alone for a week  .

Gemma.

Glad too hear that you and Jim had a nice holiday,

I have never been to Ireland but we have plans to do a couple of Rallies in Ireland next year,

Bill went last year and loved it, be he said the roads are " something else "

keep smiling

Glad you made it safe and sound. The trip sounds wonderful. I have Ireland on my list of places to go as my father is Irish.
