Nancy:
I believe you said at one point that Joe is limited to 500mg per day of sodium and that means baking your own breads and such. I was told to limit my sodium consumption to 1500mg a day before I went on a beta blocker and I counted every mg for two days. It is way harder to do than I expected. I still limit sodium but I don't count. New brands are always welcome.
Thanks.

Fantastic no sodium sauces. I'm very pleased with these sauces. Joe is addicted to Tangy Bang he puts it on many things, it's his "salt". They deliver fast.

I buy many different things from the Healthy Heart Market, good service and nice people. Owner has CHF. One thing that they have that makes a world of difference is no sodium baking powder and baking soda. It uses Calcium Carbonate instead. You have to use twice as much, but you can enjoy muffins, biscuits and quick breads again, not to mention pancakes and waffles.
Helluva Good Cheese has an excellent low sodium cheddar
Bumble Bee, very Low Sodium, Chunk White Albacore Tuna. 1 percent per serving.
Belgioioso Mascarpone cheese, Tiramisu flavor
(very, very low sodium), really delicious.
Pomi Brand, by Parmalat: All Natural/No Fat/No Sodium Added
Strained Tomatoes (10 mg sodium per serving)
and also
Chopped Tomatoes (10 mg sodium per serving)
This is great for Italian sauces because it doesn't have all the citric acid that canned low sodium tomatoes have, which makes any sauce taste terrible.
These make a wonderful sauce for Italian dishes.
Note: Be careful not to buy the regular Pomi Tomato sauce, it has lots of sodium
4C Salt Free Seasoned Breadcrumbs.
Manischewitz Matzo Meal, unsalted, can be used for breading and in meatballs.
Breakstone Sour Cream, no sodium
Real Maple Syrup has no sodium
4C Parmesan Cheese is 3 percent sodium per 1 Tablespoon serving. I allow Joe 1 teaspoon for Italian dishes (that's 1 percent)
Good condiment Dickenson's Hot Pepper Spread and Hot Cherry Spread, 0 sodium, savory jelly, good with chicken, pork, cold roast beef.
Mrs. Dash has many varieties of spice combos
Chef Prudhomme has a terrific no sodium spice combo
Sylvia's Soul Food has a really good spice combo
Healthy Heart Market has wonderful spice combos
