View Full Version : Anybody follow the Ornish diet?

I pretty much do. In a nutshell its nearly nonfat vegetarian. We eat zero cholesterol (nothing that had a face. nonfat dairy and egg substitute are okay) and limit fat to 20g per day while trying to eat mostly whole grains and at least one soy serving a day.

My husband was put on this diet by his (now our) cardiologist last June because of CAD. I was doing it too just because it's easier to cook two ways (one way for us and one way for the kids) than three ways! Now I'm doing it 'cuz I figure I'd better take good care of the equipment that IS in working order as well as being kind to the defective stuff!
