Here is a list, as best as I could compile it, of all the wonderful book suggestions. I wish you all could have access to edit, make comments about your book suggestion, or add additional ones. If you PM me the change or addition, I can edit it into the list so that the information would all be on one post, making it easy to print out and take to the library or book store.
I just thought it might be nice to have a place here to go get a good book suggestion. We all have had to do so much waiting!!! For right now, the list is just arranged in the order the suggestions were posted. If your suggestion isn't here, it was either confusing, or I just plain missed it. :o

Thanks for the list. So how was jury duty? I figured that if you go into court flashing a Grisham book, you might get excused. ;)

No one was called. They didn't need a jury for any reason that day, so we were dismissed early. Illinois has a One Day, One Trial system, so I'm done for a year.

Hey Karlynn,
I was on jury duty this week too, only in MCHenry County you have to be available for a week. I went in Monday morning and sat for 2 1/2 hours. They had called names for two juries during that time but I wasn't chosen. :(
They let the rest of us leave and told us to call after 5:00pm to find out if we had to come in the next day. I had to go in on Tuesday at 1:00pm. We sat there for 1 1/2 hours and than they told us they didn't need us, but to call in again after 5:00pm yesterday. My group had to report again today at 1:00pm and after an hour they released us and said we didn't have to call back again, and we were done! :D So it really depends on the county your in. Everyone I know in Chicago said they only had to go for one day unless they ended up on a jury.
A friend of mine gave me a book to read called Deception Point by Dan Brown. I was able to read about 3/4ths of the book during my jury duty stay! Pretty good book!

You have to have some hair raising horror somewhere in there...I have to say that with me, it has to either be a good Stephen King Book, or V. C. Andrews, or it has to be a Biography about someone. These are the only books that can hold my attention... :D :D :D :D Harrybaby

Actually Harry, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Gunslinger Series (The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, The Waste Lands, Wizard and Glass, Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah) are ALL Stephen King.... just seems Karlynn forgot to mention it! OK - technically they're not really "horror", but if you love King, you'll love these.
If your after some of his very best horror, check out some of the collections of his short stories:
Nightmares & Dreamscapes
Four Past Midnight
The Bachman Books
Skeleton Crew
Happy reading....
